Amiga Stuff
I 'grew up' on Amigas starting in 1989 when we got our first Amiga, an Amiga 500 with the 'Bat Pack'. I remember many great games, some of which I was not even able to play any more when I 'traded up' for an Amiga 1200 in 1993. I had the Amiga alongside my Linux and Windows PCs through around 1998, but my use of the machine died off with the sad stagnation of the technology.
Recently though, I have become aware of the resurgence of the Amiga through emulators. Games and programs that I thought I would never play again are now playable once more on today's higher end PCs under both Linux and Windows. It's great to have those nostaglic visits into a computing past once again.
You might be thinking, okay, where do I start? To help, here are some links to get you started :)
Emulators
- UAE (E-UAE) - Works on all platforms
- WinUAE - Slightly more advanced that the above (but that is changing :)), but for Windows only.
Software
Some other files you will need. They are not legal to distribute, so I will not host them on doofer.org. The links below require an eDonkey2000 / OverNet client.
